I started singing at Franklin High School and Campus Life. I was in the Youth Choir with Campus Life called 'The New Tide SIngers.' Seven different High Schools represented. I've been in Church choirs ever since then. I sat behind the Nuns at the 8 o' clock Mass at St. Bernadette's and they encouraged me to Cantor. I love singing! I like praying and I still get nervous everytime but I enjoy singing for the Lord. Mistakes and all! God Bless. |
FILOMENA FACHA-BIANCHI I have been singing as part of a church choir or as a cantor, on and off, for 42 years. I think music & song enhance the experience of Mass by touching the hearts and ministering to those present in a way that, many times, words alone can't. Also, it is such a beautiful way to praise and glorify God. I am grateful and feel very blessed to be a part of St. Bernadette's Music Ministry. |
SHARON PIASECKI The church I grew up in (Presbyterian) had a wonderful music program. I sang in choirs from about 4th grade on up through high school. I became a Catholic in 2007, and have been at St. Bernadette’s since 2016. It has been so much fun to sing in the choir, after many years without that opportunity. I love to praise God through music. As the saying goes, “He who sings, prays twice!" |
